The new Granule Solo® is a modern, innovative pot wash system that cleans all your pots & pans, even the most burnt on items from dirty to clean in less than 3 minutes - without a pre wash. No pre wash, or soaking mean up to 60% less water, energy and detergents are used/consumed in the washing process and less operational time is required to clean large numbers of pots and pans of all sizes. The units combination of high pressure water and the PowerGranules® (tiny plastic pellets) from GRANULDISK, delivered directly on to all items, irrespective of their size or shape by high powered jets, enables all food remains to be removed easily. Pots, pans, slightly soiled and even burnt on items are all scoured clean in a fraction of the time taken by traditional washers. Each programme is completed by a rinse cycle, which ensures that clean sanitised items are returned to the kitchen.
The Solo is available in either a hot, or cold water fill configuration and can be used in either Granule mode, or without Granules. Units have two wash cycles, 3 and 5 minutes when using Granules and 2 and 4 minutes with only water.

Standex Food Service Equipment has supplied an NMK rotisserie oven and an HDD-2 heated holding drawer unit to the Jack O’Shea butchery concession, within the food hall at Selfridges’ Oxford Street store, London.
The butcher can trace its origins back, through eight generations, to its foundation in Tipperary in 1790. Under the stewardship of today’s proprietor, Jack O’Shea, the company is now a truly international operation, with shops in Brussels, Knightsbridge and, most recently, at Selfridges’ flagship store. The Jack O’Shea brand enjoys an excellent reputation for quality, supplying household name chefs, famous restaurants, top hotels and the public at large.
Jack O’Shea’s 40ft butchery counter in the Selfridges’ food hall offers an extensive range of high quality fresh meat and poultry for the butcher’s many discerning customers. To meet customer demand for freshly cooked meat, the butcher has purchased the rotisserie oven and heated holding drawer unit.
Jack O’Shea’s cooked food offer includes a variety of free range chicken, with corn fed, smoked and marinaded birds proving particularly popular with customers. The concession sells up to 150 cooked birds per week. The rotisserie is also used to roast Filipino style suckling pig, to special order.
Manufactured by BKI, the NMK rotisserie oven is particularly suited to retail butchery operations. Its compact design and small footprint requires a minimum of counter space. The oven has the capacity for nine birds, which can be cooked in a little over an hour. Energy efficient heating technology delivers tender, succulent chicken with crispy skin. User friendly manual programming ensures consistently high standards of cooked food quality.
Once cooked, the chickens are transferred to the APW Wyott HDD-2 holding drawer unit, which is conveniently located beneath the rotisserie in a space saving configuration. The holding unit’s thermostatic temperature control and humidity regulation ensure that birds remain moist and tender prior to service. The drawers also provide additional capacity during peak trading periods.
