Chromatic coloured glass
Whether the requirement is for digitally printed imagery or solid colour panels with absolutely no show through, the unique new Chromatics product from The Glass Wall Company is designed to allow designers, developers and contractors to bring stunning visual impact to interior décor applications. Features in additon to aesthetic qualities are durability, ease of installation and faster completion times, says the company.
Chromatics is not a toughened glass but a special laminate of glass, intermolecularly bonded colour layer and metal. As a result, unlike bespoke toughened ceramic-coated glass, it is a stockable product that can be cut and edge-worked even after processing. Another key feature is that the panels are shatterproof and resistant to extreme point impact, making them safer to handle during initial installation or maintenance work – and they can withstand the mechanical vibration if installed on lift cars and escalators, says the company.
Solid colour panels can be consistently matched to any RAL Classic or RAL Design colour swatch, with absolutely no show through, it is claimed.
As well as solid colour panels, by combining Chromatics with leading edge digital printing techniques, it is possible to open up an infinite range of opportunities to feature exciting interior graphics. Corporate colours and logos, integrated signage and all forms of decoration can be achieved easily and accurately. It is also possible to replicate any traditional finishes – for example natural stone, wood, terracotta, porcelain, marble, ceramic, brick and metal surfaces.
